Your Seva

Business Overview:

Your Seva is a charity inspired by the teachings of Guru Nanak that works towards eradicating poverty. By enabling people to positively contribute to society we aim to help those that are less fortunate so that together we can directly tackle poverty and provide aid to impoverished families. We believe that by providing a helping hand we can empower families that live in poverty to develop the resources necessary so that they can break the cycle of poverty.

Your Seva is based on the Sikh principle of Seva: being selfless by taking responsibility and actively contributing to the betterment of humanity by effecting positive social change.

Your Seva is inspired by following out First Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teaching of humanity should be recognised as one. We all should have access to the same basic needs, we fortunately are very lucky in this country to never question where are next meal will come from or when we will ever have clean water.

Since 2014 our aim has been to fight against suffering, hunger and poverty. We have began by helping those that are close to our hearts in Panjab. There are number of charities that serve globally but very few focus their help on Panjab

We believe it is our duty to help families break out of the poverty cycle and to be given the opportunities for generations ahead. This is a case of humanity serving in a dignified and equal approach. Some individuals in Panjab have been neglected and are in need of support especially those who are orphaned, widowed, in their youth, of elderly age, need medical support or at any other disadvantage that we couldn’t imagine having to experience.

There is a dedicated team in Panjab who we liaise with on a regular bases who identify those families im need of help and also keep in contact with them. Each case is different from the next therefore the team conducts needs assessments which include for example- household/individuals income, signs of malnutrition, family health, accessibility to basic needs, living conditions, water supply and education and skills.
